real statement of intent

For my music video I chose 'what you heard' as my song and the artist of my song is Sonder. My music video will involve loneliness and depression. Even if your depressed or lonely you can always change your life.  

The story line consists of a teenage boy who is going through depression while walking through the streets while feeling isolated. My protagonist will be a young teen who was led to choose to be a drug addict rather than spending time with his close loving friends and girlfriend. This subverts a negative point of view how taking drugs can take over someone's life of how they want to take drugs once then get addicted to taking it consistently every single day. As he is going through a traumatic experience it creates a personal experience of the audience and the protagonist as they may become worried for how drugs are taking over his mind. By also featuring a second character who is a female, it brings a light and powerful role in the media industry. The aspect of it being unknown adds to add to the love and romance genres which will also attract the "heartbreak audiences" as it creates a sense of heartbreak. Furthermore, the ideology of men being strong is portrayed as weak when they go through heart break. 

However, one scene will be portrayed under a bridge. this creates a sense of tension and a sense of mystery due it being portrayed under a bridge. 

For my media languages, shots etc, I used a mix of over the shoulder and close shots. where I was walking through a nice little park next to a castle however, he will be walking alone due to his friends and his girl leaving him. I also used an over the shoulder shot of talking to my friend but when i blinked to see if they were truly there, I realised I was hallucinating and they weren't there.  

The hallucinations are included with a load of chaos: his girlfriend's voice echoing through his mind, his friend's laughter reminding him of the old fun times. However, by the end of the day, he is trapped with his own thoughts of what he chose over the people that loved him most and must live deeply through regret.
